Renewal in the Time of Covid
I just returned to the office after spending a week on vacation with Sharon, riding bikes, and appreciating the limited use of masks and gloves that being outside and away from others provides. In this year of constant adjustments, we stayed home and took day trips instead of traveling to another part of the country. I discovered simply being outside for long periods of time without a schedule was the key. We spent multiple days riding the KATY Trail, took a drive to Calhoun County to get peaches, and traveled to Funks Grove for sirup (their spelling). We drank tea and had meals in as many parks as we could find. We had time for conversations that were about ideas rather than “to-do lists.” In short, it was what a vacation should be. A chance to stop, reset and then begin again.
See you in the office soon!
